Will There Be Another Horizon ZERO Dawn?

A sequel to Horizon Forbidden West does appear to be on the horizon, at least at this point. Without giving anything away, Horizon Forbidden West concludes with the revelation of a new menace. It would make sense for this new danger to serve as the primary antagonist in the upcoming game. Aloy’s narrative does not appear to have come to a close at this point in time.

Horizon Forbidden West review: Early contender for game of the year

Interactive Entertainment. It was created by Guerrilla Games and published by the company. The story revolves around Aloy, a teenage hunter living in a world overrun by robots who embarks on a journey to discover her family’s history and identity. Wikipedia

Horizon Zero Dawn was rightfully hailed as a groundbreaking new IP for the PlayStation platform. Now, Guerrilla Games has followed it up with an even more impressive action-RPG. The Forbidden West is larger, bolder, and more gorgeous than its predecessor, yet the plot is equally epic, inventive, and engaging. This has to be a strong candidate for game of the year in 2022 already.

Will There Be Another Horizon ZERO Dawn?

(Pocket-lint)- Guerrilla Games may have previously achieved success with the Killzone series of games on the PlayStation platform, but it was the release of Horizon Zero Dawn that truly catapulted the studio to the next level. The 2017 action-RPG has it all: gorgeous graphics, a poignant and complicated tale, and a slew of innovations seeping out of every pore. Indeed, if it hadn’t been for the release of a specific Breath of the Wild in the same year, it would very certainly have won every game of the year award in the country. Now that we have a Horizon sequel, who knows whether the developer will have another shot at ultimate greatness? Zero Dawn 2, or Forbidden West, as it is officially titled, has definitely pulled out all of the stops in terms of providing a continuation of Aloy’s tale. It’s larger, bolder, and, at least on the PlayStation 5,

even more attractive. Horizon: Forbidden West is a PlayStation exclusive of epic proportions that demonstrates why this IP is comfortable sitting at the same table as Uncharted, The Last of Us, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and God of War. It’s actually that wonderful. That’s not to mention the fact that, in Aloy, Guerrilla Games has built one of the most intriguing female characters ever created in a video game. After starting off as an exile at the beginning of the first game and rising to become the savior of Meridian, she has become an accomplished and well-loved hero. That is reflected in the sequel, both in terms of plot and gaming aspects. It picks up immediately after Zero Dawn ended. Aloy is on the hunt for a backup of the Gaia software protocol, which has the capacity to restore the Earth’s ecology and prevent another extinction-level disaster for the planet’s population. Things, however, do not go according to plan, and as the Hades AI seems to raise its head once again, she is forced to pursue it to a new location-the eponymous Forbidden West. As a result, more secrets are revealed, and even more information about our lead’s background is revealed.

We’ll refrain from offering any major storyline spoilers because half the joy is in the discovery, but suffice it to say that it’s just as broad and intricate as the original. The game’s world is also well realized. For those who are unfamiliar with the Horizon games, the idea is as follows: many years after civilization was virtually wiped out, mankind began again with tribes spread over the landscape, hunting and foraging to live. However, instead of creatures living in the wild, machines with animalistic characteristics do so. Some are lethal, some are gigantic, and some may be trained to be steeds.Horizon Zero Dawn’s world is not your conventional post-apocalyptic setting: There are no blood-soaked apartment complexes infested with zombies or alien invaders, and there are no drab monochrome ruins of a nuclear holocaust, or the sterile plastic and metal surrounds of a strangely abandoned colony ship in far space. Horizon Zero Dawn, on the other hand, is set in the 31st century, after a millennium in which Earth was just as inhospitable as the other seven planets in our solar system. The calamity that reduced Earth to a dead rock did not have a cosmic origin, unlike the asteroid collision that killed off the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. It was rather one guy and his limitless avarice that brought about the end of Horizon Zero Dawn. And it was one kind, unselfish lady who ensured that the spark of life on Earth never completely burned out.

Horizon Zero Dawn takes place a thousand years after a pandemic in which sentient robots consumed all biological stuff on Earth. Many years after that horrific calamity, an existent artificial intelligence directed the building of a new generation of robots, who were responsible for reviving the barren earth by replenishing its ecosystem from the ground up. Plants and tiny animals are now thriving, and Homo sapiens is once again roaming the Earth. Over the years, civilization has progressed to the point that humans may be divided into separate tribes based not on race, but on culture and location. These groups live off the land; some are hunter-gatherers, while more evolved cultures—having uncovered knowledge and technology from pre-apocalyptic mankind—practice farming. The benign, animal-like robots that live among them are hunted for their components by the locals. No matter how long they have existed, these primordial civilizations have always been founded on a mutually beneficial connection with nature. Their environment, which can range from snow-capped mountains to sun-scorched valleys, can be harsh and intimidating, but it is consistently stunning and pristine. I’ve spent more than 65 hours playing Horizon Zero Dawn, and I’ve probably spent an hour or two in the game’s picture mode,

which I’ve used to collect nearly 120 photographs of the planet and its people. Guerrilla’s decision to put Horizon Zero Dawn in the western United States undoubtedly added to my fascination with the landscape, with its recreations of real-world natural features such as You have to look up from the ground in Yosemite Valley to see the sheer rock face of El Capitan. Then you realize that the small black dots on the cliff wall are people trying to climb up.
