Horizon Zero Dawn weapon mastery guide
Interactive Entertainment. It was created by Guerrilla Games and published by the company. The story revolves around Aloy, a teenage hunter living in a world overrun by robots who embarks on a journey to discover her family’s history and identity. Wikipedia
You don’t even need to equip your spear; simply press R1 for a light strike and R2 for a strong attack to begin. If you want to equip weapons, go to the menu section (where you can see the map, your inventory, crafting, skills, a journal, quests, and so on) and select the Weapons option from the dropdown menu.
“Weapons” should be the first item on the list. Once you’ve selected the category, you can choose the weapon you wish to equip. A message should appear, instructing you to hit a button to equip the weapon you selected. Returning to your game, the weapon will appear in the Weapon Wheel as soon as you do so. I don’t agree with you. The user interface (UI) is relatively straightforward; if there is anything complicated about it, please let us know. As previously indicated, use the touch pad to navigate to your inventory and equip the weapon of your choice. When you purchase a weapon, you are instantly given the option of equipping it immediately or not immediately.
When it comes to firearms, Horizon Zero Dawn offers a large arsenal to choose from (against both machines and humans). With increasing sophistication and power, weapons are becoming increasingly specialized.
After discussing weapon modifications, we’ll move on to the 11 kinds of weaponry—or 12 if you count the spear—that Aloy has at his disposal in this Horizon Zero Dawn walkthrough and tutorial (including the weapons available in The Frozen Wilds DLC).
Instead of simply listing guns and detailing the impacts of the various ammo available in the game, we’ll describe each sort of weapon in general terms before recommending our preferred ways to employ them. Except for Aloy’s spear, there are three different variants of every weapon class you can find. Beginning with the most basic version of each, which is frequently provided to you during the plot or purchased from merchants, Improved and more rare versions of the items will become available as you go farther into the game and into the universe of Horizon Zero Dawn.
The basic form of the weapon will be green, signifying that it is uncommon; the rarest version of the weapon will be the Carja variant of the weapon; and the extremely rare version will be the Shadow variant of the weapon. Merchant boxes may include additional varieties of some weapons. Additionally, at The Cut, which is located in the northeastern part of the map, there are several different weapon types accessible. Banuk variants of weapons introduced by the Frozen Wilds DLC are available here.
In the game, the Carja and Shadow variants of weapons each have a slot where players can make changes and a new type of ammo that they can use.Weapon modifications are similar to upgrade slots for your weapons in terms of functionality. Higher-quality, more rare versions of the weapons (as seen above) have additional slots for customization.
While playing Horizon Zero Dawn, you’ll come across modifications all over the place—you’ll be able to purchase them from merchants or discover them through killing machines.
Modifications are used to change the stats of the weapons that they are attached to. They can do things like increase the type of damage dealt or improve handling (fire rate and speed). Due to the fact that the benefits of modifications stack, it is possible to obtain several improvements by using multiples of the same modification on one weapon. Aloy’s spear is the most basic weapon and tool you’ll use. The spear isn’t a specialist weapon, but that doesn’t mean it’s weak or strong in the traditional sense. It’s just a great all-purpose weapon. Due to the fact that it is your only melee weapon, you’ll rely on it a great deal should things go wrong during stealth or ranged combat.
As part of the main story and as you progress through the skills system, you’ll gain upgrades for your spear. You’ll obtain a new version of the spear, called a lance, at the end of the main story, which we won’t discuss here because it contains plot spoilers.
When you complete the “A Secret Shared” side quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC, you will receive one weapon modification slot for the spear (or two for the lance). One thing you quickly understand is that chasing robot dinos is a difficult endeavor, and it takes time and effort. In addition to a plethora of weaponry, each with its own ammo type, mountains of crafting materials to keep you in good fighting shape, and an entire ecology of machine-o-saurs that behave and react in a breathtaking diversity of ways, you also have access to a range of vehicles.
It goes without saying that there is a lot to take in. Furthermore, the game does not always do a good job of describing its own actions. But that is precisely why we are here! Continue reading for all of the tips and tricks you’ll need to give your first few robodino hunting expeditions a competitive advantage. Horizon Zero Dawn: How to Change Weapons in the Game

In Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy has a variety of weaponry at her disposal to deal with the many threats she faces. When it comes to taking down most robo dinosaurs and dealing damage, your best bet is to utilize your bow and arrows.
However, other machines will necessitate the employment of various weapons in a more strategic manner. Here’s how to change guns in Horizon Zero Dawn in case you find yourself in that situation.
