New Zombies Mode Is Such A Big Deal?
Why Call of Duty Mobile’s New Zombies Mode Is Such A Big Deal?
Those who started playing Call of Duty: Mobile back when it first came out may recall that the massively popular mobile game originally included a zombie mode that was derived from the Black Ops series of games.
The zombie mode of the game was suddenly taken out of the game in March of 2020, after which there was only one map available and more were expected to be added. At the time, the developers stated that “the mode just didn’t reach the level of quality that we desire,” but no word was given on when, or if, Currently, the game is only available for iOS and Android devices.

That is no longer the case, and we now know that zombies will be added to Call of Duty: Mobile sometime in 2021. However, they will not be implemented in the traditional wave-based fashion that we had anticipated. Instead, a new mode called Undead Siege will be added to the Battle Royale game, though we don’t have a lot of information about the upcoming update at this time.
This mode will feature the return of zombies. You can stay up-to-date on the latest information regarding the update for Call of Duty: Mobile Zombies by reading the information that we have compiled below. Undead Siege was initially announced in July 2021, and a rough ‘2021’ release window was provided for the game at that time; this represents a significant amount of time. Despite this, there are some players who believe the mode could debut alongside Season 6 of Call of Duty: Mobile.
The launch of the game’s Season 6 (which is not the actual sixth season, we should clarify) is scheduled for July 30th. However, the early promotion for Call of Duty: Mobile Season 6 does not in any way hint at a new zombie mode at all, and some fans believe that Undead Siege could launch at a later date. The seventh season of the game would start in the latter part of September, and as a result, it would cover the entirety of the Halloween season. This would make for an excellent thematic match for the mode.
Undead Siege is not the wave-based classic style of Call of Duty zombies that you are accustomed to playing; rather, it utilizes the Battle Royale map. This has been mentioned previously. In Undead Siege, players are placed on the map in teams and given the objective of surviving five “nights” together. The length of time that this represents in terms of actual real-world time is not specified. You can anticipate that the hordes of foes that appear each night will be more difficult. You enter the game using one of the custom loadouts you created for the multiplayer mode, but it appears that you will also need to scavenge for additional equipment and tools in order to continue playing.
This is due to the fact that in order to fortify a base in Undead Siege, you will need to construct defenses as well as turrets, just like in other games of the tower defense genre. It is not at all clear how this aspect of the mode actually works, and we anticipate that first-time players will face a significant learning curve when engaging in this mode for the first time. There are only a few days left until Call of Duty Mobile brings back its Zombies mode, and there are several significant reasons to look forward to the Undead Siege update.
Fans of Call of Duty Mobile have a wide variety of content options to choose from. The success of the game can be attributed to the fact that it serves as a platform for all Call of Duty content and the fact that the developer, TiMi Studios, does an excellent job of providing plenty of fan service for the game’s players. The Zombies mode, however, is seen as one of the areas in which the developer believes they let players down. Fans will, thankfully, not have to wait too much longer to get a second opportunity to see what a fully realized Zombies experience on Call of Duty Mobile might look like.
The TiMi Studios asserted that the Zombies mode in Call of Duty Mobile did not live up to their quality standards, which resulted in its removal from the game more than a year ago. The game’s creator has stated that it is possible that the mode will be brought back at some point in the future, and surveys that hint at the possibility of a return have gotten fans excited. As a result, many players should be pleased to learn that zombies will be brought back beginning on July 31.
The fact that it has been so long since Zombies has been made available makes the new content introduced in Season 6 all the more intriguing, not only because of the way the mode operates but also because of the characters who are a part of it. Call of Duty Mobile has decided to go in an entirely new direction with the Zombies mode, despite the fact that there are plenty of ways in which the mode could have been improved. When players enter the mode, they will be transported to a Dark Aether-themed variant of the Isolated Battle Royale map.
They will then be required to survive for a total of five days and five nights, during which time they will be required to scavenge for supplies during the day and face attacks from the undead in the evenings. An intriguing new gameplay element will require players to defend their mobile bases from zombies. Players will be tasked with this responsibility. The idea of reusing a battle royale map to make a zombie mode is eerily similar to the Outbreak mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, even though it is unlikely that players will be able to teleport from one region to another. Due to the inclusion of the TranZit Diner, old school players should find at least some of the gameplay to be recognisable.
Players will be able to collect unique rewards, such as a zombie Tank Dempsey skin and a unique blueprint, if they choose to play in this mode. An additional blueprint and a zombie variant of Richtofen will be available for collection during a special event that will take place later on in the sixth season. Undead Siege does sound like it will be a good fit with the style of the mobile game, even though it is still unknown whether or not it will have the same amount of replayability as traditional round-based Zombies. Due to the unique “5 days” premise of the mode, it seems like players can expect a brand-new experience no matter what happens in that experience.
